Crediton Arts Centre

Crediton Arts Centre is of cultural significance, and a community landmark in Crediton. The Arts Centre has been in existence in the same building for over 30 years, having previously existed as The Drama Centre. We are at the heart of cultural life in the town, producing many local events such as Shakespeare in the Square and Touring Shakespeare, Crediton Food Festival, Flag Project, Crediton Town Trail, Busk It!,  and our new Music festival Spring Awakenings. We work closely with The Crediton Heart Project to mount the Crediton Summer Arts Festival.

The Arts Centre runs a programme of performances, films and art classes by both local and visiting artists. Crediton Youth Theatre and Brown Paper Bag Theatre Company are resident groups.

We are the creative hub of Crediton through which many artists are able to perform to this community. Many musicians and theatre groups have formed a regular following here. We provide cultural experiences for the whole community with events in the arts centre but also many free events elsewhere in the community which are economically accessible to all.
