Type of Cycle: Challenging, following rolling and often steep Devon lanes with long uphill sections, fast descents, and narrow hedge‑lined stretches where surfaces can be muddy, gravelly, or debris‑strewn. Expect sustained climbing, tight bends, and variable rural road conditions.

Directions:

  1. Start in the centre of Tiverton at the base of Bampton Street, opposite Banbury's department store.
  2. Continue on Bampton Street. Go straight over at the crossroads onto Park Street.
  3. Continue onto Park Road with People's Park on your left.
  4. Continue onto Brickhouse Hill.
  5. At the end of the road turn right onto Lea Road.
  6. Cross over the road and, after a few metres, turn left onto Bolham Lane.
  7. Continue on Bolham Lane, crossing a bridge over the A361.
  8. Turn right into Knightshayes Court and travel up the driveway.
  9. Continue on past Knightshayes Court and take the second left.
  10. Continue on this track.
  11. At the end of the track turn right onto Firebeacon Lane.
  12. At the end of the road turn left.
  13. Continue onto Vanpost Hill for several miles.
  14. Continue onto Old Tiverton Road.
  15. Arriving in Bampton continue onto Briton Street.
  16. Continue onto Brook Street.
